A recipe from Paul Manghi’s mother. Traditional old-world style fruit & nut cake, loaded with pecans, raisins & Evan Williams bourbon, wrapped in bourbon-soaked cheesecloth, and spritzed with more bourbon every week, starting as early as October. Made only from October to New Year’s.

A traditional Easter bun. Sweet and light, full of currants, and spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg. Made only from Lent to Easter.

Italian Panettone
A traditional Italian holiday treat. A light and fluffy bread with citron, raisins, and pine nuts, spiced with a touch of anise. Makes decadent French toast, or just enjoy it sliced and lightly buttered. Made only at Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.

German Stollen
Originally from Dresden, Germany. Traditionally served during Christmas holidays, the shape represents the folds of baby Jesus’s blanket. A sweet, dense dough with raisins, almonds and candied fruit, spiced with cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg and vanilla. Made only at Christmas and New Year’s.
